About Coast

A hotel that doesn't shout — it simply makes room for the coast to come in.

Coast Long Beach Hotel sits on Elm Avenue, a block inland from the waterfront and close to everything that makes Long Beach worth lingering for. We designed the space the way we'd want to come home: light, unhurried, with nothing between you and the sense that you're actually somewhere else.

Whether you're passing through or staying a week, the intent is the same — a room that feels considered, a front desk that remembers your name, and a location that lets you leave the car parked.

staying, not just sleeping.

The experience

Small details that make
a stay feel different.

Thoughtful amenities

Espresso, locally sourced bath products, and linens chosen for how they actually feel after a long day of exploring.

Flexible check-in

Early arrivals, late departures, and a front desk that answers the phone instead of routing you through a menu.

Walkable to everything

Restaurants, the aquarium, the pier — all within a short stroll. Your car can stay parked while you're here.

Quiet rooms, always

Double-pane windows, carpeted hallways, and a layout that keeps hallway noise from becoming room noise.

Smart, simple tech

Fast Wi-Fi, universal charging ports, and streaming-ready TVs — nothing gimmicky, just things that work.

Local touches

Handwritten notes, neighborhood maps, and recommendations from people who actually live here — not a franchise manual.

Location

Right where
Long Beach begins.

550 Elm Avenue puts you a short walk from the waterfront, the Long Beach Convention & Visitor Center, and a stretch of restaurants that locals actually use. The Transamerica Pyramid is close by, the Queen Mary is a easy stroll, and the harbor — where the ferries leave for Catalina — is just beyond the next block.
